The story

About

Bushwacker Bay started with a map on a wall and a boat that needed gas money.

We’re from Orange Beach, Alabama — the stretch of coast where Perdido Pass opens into the Gulf and the back bays go quiet about a hundred yards off the channel. Most of what gets sold down here as “beach merch” could be from anywhere: a palm tree, a flip-flop, a town name slapped underneath. We wanted the opposite. Designs that only make sense if you’ve actually been here.

So every drop starts as a real piece of artwork — an antique-style chart of the pass, a heron drawn the way the old naturalist prints drew them, a sunset map you could hang on a wall and be happy about. Then we put it on a shirt. Not the other way around.

How it gets to you

We don’t hold inventory. Every order is printed to order by one of our print-on-demand partners and shipped straight to your door — usually 2–5 business days in production, then normal transit time. That means nothing sits in a warehouse getting old, we’re never “out” of your size, and we can put a design on a tee, a hat, a mug, or a sticker without ordering a pallet of anything.

The tradeoff is honest and worth saying out loud: made-to-order takes a few days longer than a warehouse, and because nothing is pre-printed, we can’t take a return just because you changed your mind. If something shows up damaged, misprinted, or wrong, that’s on us and we’ll replace it — see returns for the details.

Small operation

This is a small, independent shop — not a brand with a marketing department. Designs come out in drops when they’re actually finished, not on a calendar. If you’ve got an idea for one, or a question about an order, it comes straight to us: get in touch.

Explore. Relax. Repeat.
